Non Con or rape scenes are hard for me to write. Today, one of my characters from Bell Jar Memories told his brother the truth about the night that changed his life. I couldn't help but think about my own issues with this topic. It broke my heart to write this scene. Aidan started to have a panic attack and I could feel everything that he was feeling. His pain, his embarrassment, and the power that one night has over your life. It saddens me to think of others who are in the same circumstances.

You are such an incredible woman, Summer. You are an inspiration to me every day. I am proud to know you and to have honor to call you a friend.
~xxx~
I love you two! You both are such amazingly strong women. I am so lucky to have your support and encouragement! I want to put you guys in my bell jar!
*tackle hugs*
I think sometimes becoming emotionally-involved with your characters is tough and heartbreaking, but other times it allows us to express things and deal with hard emotions that otherwise might stay bottled up in our own jars. It's the same with reading, at least for me, generally the more emotional the book is, the depths and feelings of the characters expressed and defined, the more I become encased in their world and their hearts. That's my favourite kind of read, one where I can cry and rant and laugh and smile all within one short book. Can't wait to read yours. xo
