Bananas for Aaron

As some of you know, I am a huge fan of paranormal and urban fantasy stories. I can never read too many! The world an author creates for these stories just makes me sit back in awe. It's like a blank canvas, allowing the author to create and mold a world with no limitations. That being said, one of my favorite series is the Were Menagerie by Xara X.Xanakas. 

The Were Menagerie first told the story of sexy snake shifter Jeff and dreamy wolf Brad in Snakeskin Boots. While both of these characters make an appearance (okay, maybe more than an appearance) in Monkey Wrench, it's the ADD spider monkey that steals the show. 

Aaron is a young cop working a drug case that seems to be targeting the Were community. Aaron is one of my all time favorite characters. I love how he is so dang lovable, you just feel yourself falling for him. You want to cheer for him as he works on his  personal and professional issues.

If you haven't started this series, you need to! If you have then you know what you are in for with Xara. Her writing style is one I honestly envy. I am so addicted to her snarky characters and her ability to create worlds I wished I lived in. I can't wait to read the next book in the series already!!
